Welcome to the National HMO Network

Network MembersThe National HMO Network aims to promote a wider understanding of all aspects of Houses in Multiple Occupation – HMOs.

These are houses occupied by more than one household & are strictly defined in legislation.

The Network brings together people from many disciplines - local authorities, landlords’ groups, tenants' groups, academic institutions & accommodation providers, government in England & Wales, private consultants, Shelter & professional bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH).

We hold two conferences a year for Network members at venues around the UK to discuss new legislation, policy, areas of good practice & issues for development.

Elected Steering GroupThe HMO Network is lead by an elected Steering Group who attend meetings with government officials & politicians, respond on behalf of the Network to government consultations & work with partners such as CIEH, Shelter & landlords' groups to consider good practice issues for training & sharing skills & expertise.
