Steering Group

Network Chair

The following outlines the main duties of the Network Chair:

  1. Chairing meetings of the National HMO Network.
  2. Chairing meetings of the National HMO Network Steering Group ("the Steering Group").
  3. Representing the Network at local and national level, including attendance at working parties, conferences etc.
  4. Acting as a focal point for the Network.
  5. Attending meetings with Ministers, MPs, civil servants etc., in order to raise the profile and put forward the views of the Network.
  6. Authorising payments of money from the Network's accounts in liaison with the Network's Treasurer.
  7. Ensuring that the Network functions and develops.
  8. Keeping up to date with developments in the HMO field.
  9. Making key decisions for the Network independently or with other members of the Steering Group.
  10. Dealing with media queries in accordance with the Network’s procedures.
  11. Carrying out all duties of a Steering Group member as outlined in the Steering Group member job description.
  12. Any other duties as may become necessary and are agreed by the Steering Group.
