Network Conference Co-ordinator
The following outlines the main duties of the Network Conference Co-ordinator:
- Canvas and select hosts for future Network conferences giving consideration to previous conferences and geographical balance across the country.
- Provide advice and guidance to conference hosts, including support during the preparations for a conference.
- Provide a link between the conference host and the National HMO Network Steering Group ("The Steering Group"), providing information to the Steering Group as and when necessary.
- Regularly review and update the conference manual, ensuring that a copy is available for all conference hosts.
- Approve paperwork produced by hosts prior to distribution to members of the Network.
- Check all aspects of preparation to ensure a successful conference.
- Dealing with media queries in accordance with the Network's procedures.
- Representing the Network at local and national level, including attendance at working parties, conferences etc.
- Attending meetings with Ministers, MPs, civil servants etc., in order to raise the profile and put forward the views of the Network.
- Carrying out all duties of a Steering Group member as outlined in the Steering Group member job description.
- Any other duties as may become necessary and are agreed by the Steering Group.
