I have been an Environmental Health Officer since 1984. Ten of these years were spent in Local Government specialising in HMOs and culminated in my position as Team Leader for a multi-disciplinary HMO team at Oxford City Council.
Since then I spent four years working with a private sector company and subsequently I have run my own consultancy specialising in training, expert witness and advice for Local Government, Housing Associations, landlords and tenants. Recently I have been working on private sector leasing projects.
I am a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner, an accredited trainer with Warwick Law School for HHSRS and I have been Treasurer of the National HMO Network since its inception in 1989.
