I am the HMO Team Manager at the London Borough of Newham and have worked in the HMO field since 1994. Having had the opportunity to work for a number of Local Authorities including large unitary authorities and district councils, I have gained experience of the various challenges that the HMO sector poses in different contexts.
I have contributed to a number of sub-regional working groups within the fields of private sector housing and energy conservation and have also represented the National HMO Network on a number of consultative groups working on a national level.
I am an accredited trainer for the Housing Health and Safety Rating System, and have trained a large number of colleagues in the practical use of the HHSRS.
I have been a member of the Network’s Steering Group since 2004 and have been Chair since 2008.
