My experience with HMOs continues to remain of high importance in my professional life in my capacity as a Senior Environmental Health Officer at London Borough of Islington. This position requires me to carry out HMO inspections (both licensable and otherwise) and ensure that the overall targets for raising the standards in HMOs across the borough are met.
This also ties in with other aspects of my job such as assisting my colleagues with the implementation of the HHSRS and HMO Licensing by carrying out practical training and disseminating information relating to these aspects.
I therefore have a continual role in the HMO sector, both at a strategic level as well as continuing to carry out inspections.
I have been a member of the Network's Steering Group since 2003.
